Vasyl Lozynsky (1982) - poet, translator, literary critic and curator. Studied Germanistics in Lviv and Berlin. Translated Franz Kafka's short story collection Contemplation (Osnovy, 2012), as well as the texts of contemporary authors from Polish and German languages into Ukrainian. Winner of the literary competition from the publishing house "Smoloskyp" for a collection of poems and translations titled "Celebration after debauch" (2010). His articles, translations and poetry were published in the journal “PROstory” “Krytyka”, “SHO”, “Chetver”, “KORYDOR”, “Ostragehege”, “Lichtungen”. His poetry has been translated into German, Polish and Russian languages. Losynsky’s projects include readings “Insha robota” (Foundation Center for Contemporary Art, Kyiv, and Centre for Visual Art at UKMA), Evenings of Polish poetry “Kyiv Laurels” and “Literarichner Briefklub” in cooperation with the Goethe Institute Library (Kyiv). Since 2008 Vasyl Lozynsky is a member of interdisciplinary curatorial association Hudrada and PROstory editorial board, the journal of the society and culture. Lives and works in Kyiv.
