Nikola Madzirov

Nikola Madzirov was born in 1973 in Macedonia where he still lives.

He is editor in the electronic magazine for literature and culture "Blesok" (www.blesok.com.mk) and coordinator for Macedonia for the Central and East European literature network "LitKon".

He has published three books, won two National literary prizes, one international at the Festival "Goran's spring" in Croatia and he was nominated for the prize "Golden Marguerite" at the International festival in Vienna, 2005.

His works are translated into 12 languages.

According to his literature, short movies "Passwords" and " Die Zeiger der Uhr" are shot - the first one in Sofia (Bulgaria) and the second one in Zagreb (Croatia).

Nikola Madzirov is Macedonian partner of the International poetry-net "Lyrikline" (www.lyrikline.org) and he is invited at the International partner's meeting which will be held in Berlin, in the residence of the institution, from 27-th of May to 04-th of June 2006.

Nikola Madzirov wurde im März 2007 mit dem » 'Hubert-Burda-Preis' für junge osteuropäische Literatur ausgezeichnet.
In diesem Zusammenhang möchten wir uns bei Herrn Vizekonsul Thomas Wenk von der Deutschen Botschaft in Wien für die freundliche "Aufnahme" von Nikola Madzirov und die rasche Ausstellung eines Visums für Deutschland herzlich bedanken.

Frau Botschaftsrätin Jüraté Janusauskiene von der Botschaft der Republik Litauen in Wien sei ebenfalls gedankt für die unbürokratische und ebenfalls rasche Ausstellung eines litauischen Visums für Nikola Madzirov!
