|Vesna Pavlakovic was born in Zagreb in 1955. In 1978 she graduated from the College of Education, Zagreb and in 1982 from the Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb, in the class of Prof. Nikola Reiser. Between 1986 and 1988 she visited Norway several times and was a visiting student at the Statens Kunstakademi [i.e. National Academy of Fine Art] in Oslo. Moreover, a visit of the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris was a formative experience. In 1997 she was awarded a prize on the occasion of the 1st Festival of Water Colours Art in Split (HR). In 2001 she won the Grand Prize of the Watercolours Triennial, Slavonski Brod. Today the artist lives in Zagreb.|
