Firas Shehadeh (b.1988 Amman, Jordan), is a Palestinian artist , he grew up between Saudi Arabia and Jordan as child. Graduated from UNRWA school in Al Nasr Palestinian refugee camp, Amman. He finished a degree in architecture in 2008, before moving to Barcelona, Spain to develop his artistic practice, and then to Austria, where he currently studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In 2014 his work was selected for the 64th Berlinale in Berlin, and in 2015 he had his first solo show in Barcelona, Spain. His work explores his relationship with space and the influence of authority on the alteration of collective consciousness and identity. He is interested in postcolonial effects, technology, and history.
