Veronika Tzekova is an artist, urban practitioner and creative strategist, with main practice in articulating and conceptualizing in the field of fine arts, the broad spectrum of public spaces and urban imaginaries.

Veronika Tzekova graduated MFA at the Dutch Art Institute (DAI), postgraduated in Interdisciplinary Research in visual arts and media, Enschede, Netherlands in 2001.
Veronika Tzekova ist Gastkünstlerin im Rahmen des Black Sea Calling-Austauschprogrammes von < rotor >, in Kooperation mit CCN und 4 weiteren Institutionen in Österreich bzw. 9 Institutionen aus dem Schwarzmeer-Raum.

In 2004/2005 she takes part in “Transnational Spaces”, a postgraduate program by Bauhaus Foundation, Dessau, Germany.
In 2011 Veronika Tzekova was nominated for several awards among which GO11 AWARD FOR URBAN ALTERNATE USE.
In 2012 Veronika Tzekova will join the residency programs MPRA in Poznan, Poland and Art and Cultural Studies Laboratory, Yerevan, Armenia. Previously she won an UniCredit grant for UNIDEE in Residence International Program, Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto, Biella, Italy in 2010.

Veronika Tzekova is an author of the 2011 launched project Urban Olympics 2011, Sofia, Bulgaria and currently continues to develop the multipart project Challenged Games, parts of which has already been presented in the Include the City Festival, Burgas, Bulgaria; soon at the exhibition Challenged Games in Galerie Centrum, Graz Austria and Sofia Design Week 2012.
